Rather than using a standard fertility protocol, Monique considers the whole clinical picture — including the menstrual cycle, sleep, stress, energy, digestion, emotional wellbeing and relevant medical or fertility treatment.

1. Comprehensive Fertility Consultation
Monique will discuss your menstrual and reproductive history, current health, lifestyle, previous fertility treatment and any investigations or assisted reproductive treatment you may be undergoing.

For couples preparing for pregnancy, treatment may also incorporate discussion around preconception health and male reproductive wellbeing where appropriate.

2. Chinese Medicine Assessment
Traditional diagnostic methods, including pulse and tongue assessment, are used alongside your health history to develop an individual Chinese Medicine treatment approach.

3. Individualised Fertility Acupuncture
Acupuncture points are selected according to your presentation and stage of your cycle or fertility treatment.

For patients undergoing IVF, treatment can be coordinated around different stages of the treatment cycle, including embryo transfer appointments where appropriate, and is used as an adjunct to the care provided by your fertility specialist and medical team.

4. Eight Extraordinary Vessel Acupuncture
Monique has undertaken advanced training in the Eight Extraordinary Vessels under Dr Yvonne Farrell.

Where clinically appropriate, she may incorporate these advanced channel techniques alongside her fertility acupuncture approach. Within traditional Chinese Medicine, the Eight Extraordinary Vessels provide an additional framework for considering deeper constitutional patterns, reproductive life stages and significant physical or emotional transitions.

This allows Monique to combine classical Chinese Medicine theory with evidence-informed fertility and IVF supportive care, particularly where a presentation is complex or longstanding.
